Hours and your data

Privacy Policy

Effective October 24, 2026

Hours is designed as a private, local prayer companion.

Information collected by the app

Hours does not require an account and does not collect personal information for advertising, analytics, profiling, or tracking. Neither the apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android nor the web app include third-party advertising or analytics code.

Information stored on your device

Display and hour-selection preferences are stored locally on your device. In the iPhone, iPad, and Android apps, office content is read from a content database included with the app, and the apps make no network requests for it. Hours does not upload your prayer activity or reading choices.

The web app

The web app at liturgia.horarum.com keeps its settings, your place in an office, recent searches, and the offices and search library it has fetched in your browser’s storage on your device. It fetches the Office from the publisher’s own servers. These requests do not include an account, advertising identifier, prayer history, or precise location.

Hosting and network providers may process ordinary technical information such as an IP address, request time, and user-agent data to deliver files, maintain security, and diagnose failures.

This website

This local website does not use advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, accounts, or marketing cookies. It reads the browser’s local clock solely to show the current canonical hour. That value is not transmitted or stored.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information or share app activity with advertisers or data brokers. External links are governed by the destination’s privacy practices.

Children

Hours is a general-audience prayer and reference app. It is not designed to collect personal information from children and does not knowingly do so.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the app or its services change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
